Buttered Noodles

   When we used to live in the cities several years ago, my absolute favorite restaurant was Noodles & Company. I love pasta (I know refined food is not good for your health....but it tastes great)! My favorite dish was Buttered Noodles. I ordered it every time we went there. Now that our family eats mostly gluten-free, since my dad and brother are allergic to wheat, it's a rare treat when we do get pasta in the house. Today we had some egg noodles in the house, so I recreated my favorite dish from Noodles.... I think it tastes pretty similar :).

Buttered Noodles
  • A bag of egg noodles
  • butter
  • parmesan cheese
  • dried sage powder
  • salt
Cook pasta according to instructions on bag. Drain and return to pot. Add half a stick of butter and let melt. Add parmesan cheese to taste. Mix everything together. Keep warm in oven (covered) at 200°F or on a warm burner that is turned off. Serve and sprinkle some sage over the pasta. Add salt to taste.
